2nd Tutorial

VERY POSITIVE.

I got some decent feedback and ways I could structure and formulate my dissertation.
Looking at analytical chapters where I can also compare artists together > focusing around the sensory experience created for the audience.

This topic relates to my own practice - I want to engage with the audience, create a connection through the senses. Mainly for me it would be to look at visual, audio and textures to touch.

I need to speed up with my research - looking at more relevant pieces of information.
> texts/reviews
>Catalogue essays
> Publications (ones in the library) e.g. October.
> Art Monthly (online - tutor found me several articles about Pipilotti Rist).

MAIN THINGS TO FOCUS ON:
>Why artists do the work?
>Why do they use the particular medium? - how they use sensory experiences with the audience.

> Begin an introduction by briefly introducing artists' overall practice.  (ANALYTICAL)
> 3-4 artists. Explore and compare.

> Try very hard to get to actually experience an sensory/installation artist's work - GALLERY VISIT. Excellent experience for me and to help my dissertation!!!!!!!

ALSO - structure is good. Looking at different points: sensations; stimulation; themes/concepts
ALL HOW THE ARISTS ENGAGE WITH THE AUDIENCE - beginning of a constructed title/question.

ARTISTS SO FAR:
- Pipilotti Rist
- Mat Collishaw
-Bruce Nauman
- Bill Viola
Extra artists > Ernesto Neto.

Decide which ones will be suitable to use. introduce. analyse and compare throughout.

Stilllll lots to do, but main thing is I'm not in trouble, I'm not drowning. I'm not way off track. JUST NEED TO GET TO IT.
